Dara graduated from Ulster University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law before joining Diamond Heron’s busy litigation department as a Legal Executive in 2024. After an exciting first year with the firm, Dara commenced his training contract with Diamond Heron in September 2025. He will attend the Institute of Professional Legal Studies as part of his training and is set to fully qualify as a solicitor in September 2027.
Dara specialises in debt recovery, managing cases from Small Claims through to County Court and High Court proceedings. He acts for a range of commercial clients, from sole traders to large multinational companies, and handles matters from pre-litigation through to enforcement. He is experienced in preparing legal documentation, negotiating repayment arrangements, and guiding clients on enforcement options — whether through the Enforcement of Judgments Office or by initiating bankruptcy and company winding-up proceedings. His tailored, pragmatic approach ensures timely and cost-effective outcomes for his clients.
Dara also has experience in personal injury litigation, primarily acting on behalf of claimants in cases arising from road traffic accidents.
Outside of work, Dara enjoys live music events, hurling with his local GAA club, and trying new activities to stay fit.
