Karen Edwards is a solicitor in our family law department with 10 years’ experience in family and matrimonial law. She specialises in cases involving divorce and separation, domestic violence, children’s contact and adoption, public law care orders, and financial settlements.
Karen expertly handles contentious matters and complex legal issues before the courts. She advises a wide range of clients, including vulnerable adults, children and the elderly, approaching each client’s needs in an empathetic way in order to effectively manage often emotionally unpredictable situations.
She is an active member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland Children Order Panel with a particular interest in children’s order law having represented clients in wardship, child abduction and Hague Convention matters.
Karen completed her degree in Law with Economics before embarking on a Master’s in Management and Corporate Governance. She qualified as a practicing solicitor through the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. Outside of the office Karen volunteers working with children and those with special needs, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
