The court held that she had not proved that the marriage had broken down irretrievably or that her husband had behaved in such a way that she could not reasonably be expected to live with him, as required by s.1(2)(b) of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 (Owens v Owens 2018 UKSC 41).
