POWER OF ATTORNEY: Guidance on documents needed to operate a third party bank account

In December last year, the British Bankers' Association released a guidance leaflet for English and Welsh deputies or attorneys who manage a bank account for another person.

The leaflet, drafted in collaboration with the Building Societies Association and Office of the Public Guardian, lists documents that deputies and attorneys need to show financial institutions. A separate leaflet is available for Scotland.
